Upper Nyong Valley Wetlands Project

Upper nyong valley

Situated in the centre province some 100km from the Cameroon capital, Yaounde, the upper Nyong valley wetlands cover more than 200,000 ha. The area has been identified by WWF as one of the global 200 priority ecosystems needing urgent conservation actions.

Located in the littoral province, the Douala-Edea wildlife Reserve is one of the largest and biologically rich nature reserves in Cameroon covering more than 160 000 ha created by the French colonial administration in 1932.
